The 3 Kinds of death in the Bible:
1. Spiritual – 1 Corinthians 15:21-22 “ For since by man came death, by Man also came the resurrection of the dead. V.22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive.
2. Physical – Ecclesiastes 12:7 “ Then the dust will return to the earth as it was, and the spirit will return to God who gave it.”
3. Eternal – Revelations 20:14-15 “ Then death and hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. V. 15 And anyone not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
Spiritual worship is the exclusive privilege of those who have been quickened by the indwelling Holy Spirit. 1 Chronicles 29:14 “But who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to give as generously as this? Everything comes from you, and we have given you only what comes from your hand.
I. Worship in Truth
Psalms 119:160 “The entirety of your word is truth, and every one of your righteous judgements endures forever.

The Tabernacle of Moses
a. Exodus 25:8-9 And let them make Me a sanctuary, that I may dwell among them. V.9 According to all that I show you, that is, the pattern of the tabernacle and the pattern of all its furnishings, just so you shall make it.
b. Exodus 40:33-34 Then he erected the enclosure surrounding the tent and the altar, and set up the curtain-door at the entrance of the enclosure. So at last Moses finished the work. V.34 Then the cloud covered the Tabernacle and the glory of the Lord filled it.
God will dwell with those that prepares Him a habitation. The broken and contrite heart, the clean and holy heart, that is furnished for his service, and devoted to His honor, shall be his rest forever; here Christ dwell by faith.” By: Matthew Henry`s Commentaries
The Tabernacle of David
a. God`s covenant with David
1Chronicles 17:1-15
The pattern was given to him by the Holy Spirit. 1Chronicles 28:11-13 Then David gave Solomon the blueprint of the Temple and its surroundings – the treasuries, the upstairs rooms, the inside rooms, and the sanctuary for the place of mercy.
v. 12 He also gave Solomon his plans for the outer court, the outside rooms, the temple storage areas, and the treasuries for the gifts dedicated by famous persons. For the Holy Spirit had given David all these plans. TLB
David`s Attempt to bring back the Ark
1 Chronicles 13:1-14, 2 Samuel 6
I. Mission - To return the ark of God to Israel. David desired to make Jerusalem the political and religious center of Israel.
2Samuel 6:1-2 “Again David gathered all the choice men of Israel, thirty thousand. V.2 And David arose and went with all the people who were with him from Baal Judah to bring up from there the Ark of God, whose name is called by the Name, the Lord of Hosts, who dwells between the cherubim.
II. Method New Cart, oxen and a processional fit for a king… was the wrong way.
2Samuel 6:3-4 “So they set the Ark of God on a new cart, and brought it out of the house of Abinadab, which was on the hill; and Uzzah and Ahio, the sons of Abinadab, drove the new cart. V.4 And they brought it out of the house of Abinadab, which was on the hill, accompanying the Ark of God; and Ahio went before the ark. V.5 Then David and all the house of Israel played music before the Lord on all kinds of instruments of fire wood, on harps, on stringed instruments, on tambourines, on sistrums and on cymbals.
III. Mistake- David`s disregard and recklessness towards the Law of God cost “Uzzah” his life. First Mistake – David did not consulted the Lord, he consulted his political leaders (1 Chronicles 13:1-4)
Second Mistake – David ignored God`s word. Instead of asking the Levites to bear the ark on their shoulders (Numbers 3:27-31;4:15;7:9;10:21). He followed the worldly example of the Philistines and put the ark on a cart. David and the children of Israel knew God`s way, therefore, they were held accountable for their actions.
IV. Months(2 Samuel 6:10-12)
For the next 90 days, the Ark resided in the home of Obed-edom house. He received great blessings for his willingness to house of the Ark.
Now, David turns to the law of God to discover His instructions for carrying the ark (1Chronicles 15:1-2;12-13). Evidently, David consulted the writings of Moses to learn how the ark should be transported.
1Chronicles 15:2 Then David said,”No one may carry the Ark of God but the Levites, for the Lord has chosen them to carry the ark of God and to minister before Him forever.”
1Chronicles 15:10-15
v.11 And David called for Zadok and Abiathar the priests, and for the Levites: for Uriel, Asaiah, Joel, Shemaiah, Eliel, and Amminadab. V.12 He said to them, “You are the heads of the Father`s houses of the Levites; sanctify yourselves, you and your brethren, that you may bring up the ark of the Lord God of Israel to the place I have prepared for it. V.13 For because you did not do it the first time, the Lord our God broke out against us, because we did not consult Him about the proper order.” V.14 So the priests and the Levites sanctified themselves to bring up the ark of the Lord God of Israel. V.15 And the children of the Levites bore the Ark of God on their shoulders, by its poles, as Moses had commanded according to the word of the Lord.NKJV
*God was blessing the house of Obed-edom, and David wanted this blessing for the whole nation of Israel.
V. Misunderstanding(6:12-23)
- When the Ark of the Covenant finally reached Jerusalem, David was filled with a spirit of rejoicing. The Bible declares that David “danced before the Lord”.
- Michal(David`s wife and Saul`s daughter) becomes angry with David for dancing before the Ark, wearing only a priestly tunic.
- Michal`s condemnation (6:20-23). She sharply rebukes her husband for his less than kingly behavior.
- David tells Michal that he was willing to look foolish in order to show his joy in the Lord.
- As God`s punishment towards Michal`s rebuke, she remained childless throughout her life.
2 Samuel 6:20-23
v.20 David returned to bless his family
But Michal came out to meet him and exclaimed in disgust, “How glorious the king of Israel looked today! He exposed himself to the girls along the street like a common pervert!”
v.21 David retorted, “I was dancing before the Lord who chose me above your father and his family and who appointed me as leader of Israel, the people of the Lord! So I am willing to act like a fool in order to show my joy in the Lord. V.22 Yes, and I am willing to look even more foolish than this, but I will be respected by the girls of whom you spoke!”
v.23 So Michal was childless throughout her life.TLB
